I'm experiencing problems with having both Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2
computers in my domain. I have the Administrative Template in a group policy
for Windows Firewall that applies to service pack 2. However, because of this
policy I am experiencing the error as described in KB 892199 on my service
pack 1 machines were the firewall service will not start and I receive the
error: "The class is configured to run as a security id different from the
caller."

The KB article does not indicate that the issue is resolved and only
proposes work-arounds. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I might
prevent my SP 1 computers from applying this policy designed for SP2?

Short of putting your SP1 machines in a seperate OU and applying a GPO, then
no. Why not install SP2 on all your machines?
