I understand from reading in the group that if I install SP1 for 2007, users
of ACCDE applications created on my computer will not be able to open the
ACCDE file if they do not have full version of A2007 (using Runtime 2007)

Has anyone had experience with this?
Is there a way around other than not installing SP1?

Thanks for the help..

Correct. The problem is that the Office 2007 SP1 does not see the
Access runtime and thus doesn't update it. I'm sure that MS will be
fixing this problem soon. However I have no idea as to when.

There is no work around other than for you to make the ACCDE on a non
SP1 system.

This is the kind of reason that I stopped using the runtime years ago. If a
client can pay the staff member who is using the application, they can
afford to buy Access. I haven't had any complaints yet.

Thank you.
I am keeping SP1 away from one machine for this purpose. It is working.
