When trying to update with WIndows XP serice pack I get thge following error:

"Service Pack 2 Setup Error
The paging file is too small for this operation to complete"

Can anyone help me?

Unfortunately I can't even click on my Start menu....it shows an hour glass
when I go over the start menu....

Nothing still seems to work

Have you got sufficient free space on your HD?

A system restore seemed to work...now I'm trying to find the root of the
problem....

I tried to update to SP 2 again... I get the following error message

"Product Key used to install MS Windows may not be valid"

The problem is I can't use the validating program because my ActiveX doesn't
seem to work. I have set the ActiveX to the correct setting but the
validation program still won't work.

I've got 48.8 GB free.

A system restore seemed to work.

When updating to SP2 I now get the following error:

"Product key used to install MS windows may not be vaid"

So I went to try and validate it using validation program they offer. For
some reason ActiveX won't be accepted. I beleive I have the settings correct
for ActiveX too...

Please help.

ActiveX

Try re-registering the following .dll files
Softpub.dll
Wintrust.dll
Initpki.dll
Urlmon.dll

1. Click Start >Run and type
regsvr32 Softpub.dll
Click okay to register it
You should get a dialog box telling you that it was successful.
2. Repeat the process for the other .dll files.
3. Restart your computer and try the update site again.

You receive a "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on
this page" message when you try to use Windows Update

I still get the same message when trying to validate
