Newbie Question:

Are there any recommendations for music files appropriate for background
music on home (that is, non-commerical) movies? Someone, somewhere, must
have compiled collections of suitable music but I've yet to find a good
source.

TIA,

It's kind of a personal preference thing; whatever
you'd like to use. If you need places to get music,
look for MIDI's, there are lots of good ones available.
Another source I sometimes use if I don't already have
a tape or a CD with what I want, is to record off the
radio with Media Player. Lots of good music stations
are available.

Hello there,

I did a BIG search last year for websites carrying Royalty Free Music. What I
found was that I could buy a CD of music from one of the groups. Sometimes the
cost of the CD was in excess of $500 US. The sites that did carry free music
offered "teasers" only. they did not include the full clip and the audio
quality was real bad. So, it reduces too anything worth buying you pay for.

If this is for your own consumption ... my solution was to purchase ordinary
cd's of music and do it that way...it was a lot cheaper than the alternative.
