Please ... NOT the simple go-to-their-site-and-let-them-do-it. I want
the actual program install executables.

I'm the sort who make continually changes and updates and trials on my
computer, and I get tired to having to 'download' the same stuff over and
over
again ... such as Macromedia's free Shockwave and Flash readers.

Can any kind soul direct me to the source for downloading those installs?
I would like having them on-hand when needed.

Thanx

If you go to their site with a browser which (a) their site does not
recognize and (b) does not already have the plugin(s) installed, you
can choose the executable installer(s) you want. (If you already
have the plugin(s) installed, the site will just declare your visit
"successful," and if they recognize your browser they will try hard
to route you to the let-them-do-it which you don't want.)

I guess you have no knowledge of macro software....... you cannot do a 'save target as' or anything else when it come to
downloading, they protect it...there are trail versions of macromedia that come with a player (exe installable), but i guess that
silly too......

Just got a report via e-mail that the method I gave is not working.
So...

<http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...in95nt/8.5.1.106/Shockwave_Installer_Full.exe>

<http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...sh/win95nt/7.0.14.0/flashplayer7installer.exe>

I believe that Shockwave installer will work for IE and Gecko browsers,
but the Flash installer is only for Gecko ones. (Sorry I forgot to
mention that in the e-mail.)

mean it is. If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers.
It isn't her's. It isn't our's either. It's ours, and
likewise yours and theirs.

Been using MMStudio several years.
Others with better understanding and tact provided the correct answer, which
I have downloaded now. Apparently, you didn't comprehend the question.
You *can* do a save of streaming files .. *if* you know what you're doing.
and without need for any special program help.
Stick around for awhile and learn ... a.c.f. is common knowledge herein.
Finally, I breach one of my own rules to pour some diss on you, but some
people are just too smart-ass to ignore. These forums really shouldn't
be used for flames and smart-ass remarks. If you cannot help .. just say
so.
And .. the word is trial, not trail. Lazy man's fingers?

I found myself having to download/install Macromedia Flash last week, and
the normal way of finding it in a temp file did NOT work for this
application. There was a large Windows swap file present, and I figured
this is where the application was downloaded, not into a temp file or
directory. Or, the install is configured to erase the temp file
immediately after finishing. At any rate, I couldn't find it anywhere.

I feel like the OP in that I would like to have the current version of
Flash resident on my HD, since it works fine for now. Who knows what they
might do to it in the future?

yep thats what I'm saying. Almost ALL the sites that have the DL won't let you get to the temp or any Directory where the
installable could be located.
