Source cells highlighting

Supposing data of a cell in sheet 2 was linked to sheet 1
(of the same workbook), what function is required to make
it such that the source cell in sheet 2 is highlighted in
a way that allows us to know at one glance that the data
is being used elsewhere? Note that it is not "insert
comments" that I am referring to. Thanks!

Trace Precedents and Trace Dependents

But I must say that I would usually roll my own system of highlighting
(for use in construction phase).
