Sounds like an MCSE test question

I have a small LAN and Large LAN connected via t-1 link. No servers at all
on the smaller LAN. Larger LAN has DNS server, WINs server, DHCP, etc.

The clients on the smaller LAN all have hard coded IP, DNS, WINS, etc
pointing to the servers on the larger LAN. However I can ping by name from
the Larger network to the smaller network, but since there is no Master
Browser announcements from the smaller network to the larger I can't see the
systems in the My Network Places lists. Any way to allow me to see them
without having a server in that location for the 5 clients I have there?

Ping as typical Internet application tries to resolve a name using DNS.
Check WINS database if remote NetBIOS names are registered. Check remote
Event log. Check if remote clients know everything about a domain using the
*nbtstat* command. Create some remote lmhosts file records. Most important
record is [1B]. Create static WINS entries.
