sounds and lock-ups

well i haven't had my computer for very long and im already starting to have
serious problems with it. first off, whenever i try to use windows media
player [i have the latest version], it locks up my computer when i play
music/videos. the only sounds that work on my computer are the system sounds.
ive scanned it with everything i had for just about every
virus/registry/spyware/etc problem out there. and i found that there was some
kind of spyware/malware in my sound and volume folder. i have no way of
deleting it or anything because it says it doesnt exist... but its there
because it still pops up. if this makes any sense at all, i would appreciate
it if i could get some help with this problem. thank you so much.

Sounds like you need a good Antivirus and malware/spyware scanner.
Try adaware and search and destroy as well as spyware blaster and try
Kaspersky for AV, just my opinion on the brandnames.
 
a spyware called marketscore is always detected in a lot of the scans i do.
but ive read how to get rid of it and when i go to do that... its gone.

Do what sgopus said. Get AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy and run them.
They are free and known as among the best to use. What one doesn't catch the
other one does. Is there an uninstaller for MarketScore?
