Soundmax Sound Card and IE 6SP1 No Web or MSN Sounds

I recently replaced the system board (with an msi 865PE neo2) in my pc (it
has a soundmax sound chip). Now all the sound devices work - CD, Wav, Etc.
Except none of my web sound features work anymore.

I've noticed a few similar posts (headers) that no longer exist on the
server and am wondering if anyone knows the fix?
 
Solved it by resetting the IE 6sp1 default web settings and starting up
windows media player. I'm pretty sure Windows media player reset
something..
