Hi everyone,

I tried posting this a while ago, but I think something
went wrong. I'll try again.
I was wondering if there was any way to edit the sound
portion of a .avi or .wma file? I'm talking about editing
the sound portion in a regular sound editor such as
GoldWave or Nero sound editing. I'm fully aware of the
editing tools in windows moviemaker2 but I would have a
heck of a lot more options if I could use these other
programs. If anyone has any information I would certainly
appreciate it. Thanks for any help,
Roger

For WMV files, install Windows Media Encoder and use the file editor it
comes with to seperate audio from video.
You can also export just the audio from Windows Movie Maker by placing your
movie to the music channel and nothing in the Video channel (Timeline view).
VierualDub software can do demultiplexing and multiplexing for avi files.

Thank you so much for your help.
Roger
