Soundcard?

Hello,

Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware (tab) > Device Manager > look
under "Sound, video and game controllers" for the list of installed sound
card drivers

The presence of a volume control icon on the bottom right (system tray) can
also indicate whether that a sound hardware is installed

Finally, Start > Control Panel > Sounds And Audio > Audio (tab) > Sound
playback , shows the sound card in use to play the default windows sounds.

Thanks... when checking your third alternative ...
Finally, Start > Control Panel > Sounds And Audio > Audio (tab) > Sound
playback , shows the sound card in use to play the default windows sounds.

I find;

"Realtek High Definition Audio rear output" is to play the default windows
sounds, but is this a sound card?

On the hardware-tab I find:

_NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG (DVD-player - not sound card)

ATI WDM Specialized MVD Codec (according to the hardware tab; located on
RADEON X600 PRO graphic card)

ATI WDM Rage Theater Video (according to the hardware tab; located on RADEON
X600 PRO graphic card)

Realtek High Definition Audio (according to the hardware tab; location 65535
(Internal Definition Audio Bus)) ... does this mean that there is only a
"motherboard integrated sound card"?
