Good luck. This is one of the SB16/32/64/Vibra AWE series of ISA sound
cards. It is highly unlikely that drivers exist for Windows XP. There
might have been drivers for Windows 2000. Windows NT used awent40.exe.
You might want to consider getting a modern, PCI sound card, such as the
Turtle Beach Riviera or Montego.

CT4170 is a later VIBRA version of the basic sound blaster 16 ISA and
as far as I know, Creative never released a driver update for the SB
16/AWE/AWE32/AWE64 series cards under XP. Unless microsoft included
drivers on the XP install CD, you might have to downgrade the OS to
win98, win98SE or winME if you want to run with that card.

Either that, or get a newer PCI card, as the SB Live, SB-PCI, SB
Audigy/2/4/Xi cards definitely do have drivers for XP.

Wow, I've never seen anyone recommend Turtle Beach cards !!!

I had a TB Monte Carlo card eons ago.

(Not a reference to the cards' quality/sound/performance at all, just
caught me off-guard.)
