In my particular scenario I was unable to install the Vista Beta 2 drivers
due to it timing out. Given the advice of many others on this site I tried
the XP drivers but they failed to load as well. Anyways on to the process.
Although I used this method to get the Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum sound
card to work, it should work for the entire Audigy 2 family of sound cards.
1. Download the XP version of your sound card.
2. Extract the files to a folder.
3. Reboot in Safe Mode.
4. Open up Device Manager.
5. Update driver by pointing to the folder containing the XP driver.
6. Reboot in normal mode.
7. Installation completes itself.
Hope that helps some out there.
