START--->CONTROL PANEL---->SYSTEM--->Look for your hardware profile
Now after you find it look in their for the sound device if it is a driver
problem it will have a yellow icon next to it.
click on that and get the name of the actual sound card you are using.
if it is C-MEDIA its possible this could be a intergrated Crystal Media
Sound card.
If it is here is a place to start to look for the driver
http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/companies/223.htm
Be careful what you get from this list as they are user submitted and make
sure the driver you are sure is for your sound card is listed by the
filename as you saw in the hardware profile.
Anymore issues with this feel free to send a email
Good Luck and Happy New Year!
