I just installed Windows XP on my system and while it was
installing it said that I needed to provide a file called
a3d.dll. I have no idea what that was and I just skipped
it. Once Windows finished installing, I have no sound.
Please help!!!!

Hi,

Go to the web site of your sound card maker. Download and install the latest
sound card driver they offer for your model.
