I recently took my computer to get looked at and when I got it home I found I
had no sound. I have some sound when I'm doing something on Microsoft word
however I am unable to hear any other sounds eg: play cd's, dvd's, voice on
msn messenger and such. Could it be that the computer store forgot to
install my sound card?? Or is it something I can do at home to restore my
sound. I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps to no avail.

Any assistance you can provide I would appreciate it very much.

Hi

One or 2 things did you have sound before you took
your pc in, if so take it back and have them fix it, if you
needed to have a soundcard installed then you need
to make sure it was installed. another to try is make
sure you have your speaker wire(plug) connected
to the correct port on oyur pc and also check your
speakers.

But if all was working fine before you took your
pc in, them call the store back and have them fix it
