Michael A

Hello.
I am working on a new WINXP machine, with Office 2000.

The only sound I want from this machine is when there is
an error message. I have fiddled around with:
Settings/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices\Sounds
tab\Program Events
and changed everything to none.
One by one I tried to use the ding (at full volume) to see
which program event is the "Error Message". I cannot
figure it out.

Could you please tell me how to have the Error
Message 'ding' when one pops up?

Thank you,
Michael A

Greetings:

I believe "Program Error" is the event you are looking for. drop-down window
shows no sound by default for that event.. To asign a sound, select program
error. open drop-down and select ding.wav \apply\Accept. Or click on Examin
button\select ding.wav\Accept or double click\next apply\accept..

Hope this helps.
