the sounds in my computer suddenly disapeared. I tried turn on and off, tried
unplugg cables , checking the sound card, and nothing worked. I also tried
the volumes too. Is there anything else I can check ?

Right click MyComputer.
Click Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager button.
Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

Is your Sound device listed?

Also check Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices applet > Audio tab.

Sound device listed as the Default device to use?
If not, is it selectable from the dropdown list?

How to ask a question: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375

Have you plugged the speakers into the correct (usually green) socket at the
back of the computer?
Have you plugged your speakers into the power socket?
Have you turned your speakers on?
(I know these are basic things but you wouldn't be the first person to
forget one of them)
Have you installed (or re-installed) the software driver for the audio card?
You first need to install the driver (ideally from a CD supplied with the
computer but may be downloaded).
Windows should recognise the new driver OK.
