I have moved an ACS340 speaker system from Windows 98 second edition (where
it worked) to an XP home on a different computer dimentsion 4500 and have no
sound. XP cannot detect the speakers. Any advice?
 
are you sure you plugged into the proper jack on the back of the sound
card? I take it youhave a sub woofer and two satelite speakers, if so they
should be hooked into the Line OUT jack.
Now you can go to the sound card utitity and set up your speakers, it is
probably set currently for PC Speaker and you HAVE to select the speakers
type your are using in the utility, Plug and Play does NOT find speakers.
