I have a problem. There isnt coming any sound out of my speakers.I dont know
how i set it up.
Apart from coming round to your place to have a gander inside your PC , more
info is needed to diagnose :
* is this a recent problem (what were you doing/installing prior to this
happening) or has it happened before ?
* what are you trying to do, what software are you using ?
* do you have on-board sound or a separate soundcard (are your drivers
up to date) ?
* are they turned on - do they work on a friend's computer ?
* are they plugged in the correct socket of your soundcard - did you
follow the instructions that came with your PC ,
* try this : Start > Control Pannel > Sound and Audio Devices > Speaker
Volume - make sure the sliders are at max > Apply > OK >
* in Advanced > in the drop down list make sure you have some speakers
selected and not the Option "None" > Apply > OK
* make sure the check box "place icon in taskbar" is checked > Apply >
OK
* Double click on the loudspeaker icon in the taskbar > push all sliders
(Play Control, Wave/mp3, Midi Synth, CD Audio ...) up to max, but mute out
microphone, line-in and auxillary unless you need them (they can cause
parasites amongst other things).
Ouf ! Do you have any sound after all that ?
Re-post if not then we'll get serious !
Cheers,
Jerry
