Hi there,

I'm wondering if someone here can help me out some.
Recently I formatted my computer. It has onboard sound AC'97. Sound is
enabled in t he bios and all, and it picked up the sound card and
installed the drivers as needed. However, I have NO sound. There are no
conflicts, and in the device manager under system files, everything
seems fine there as well. NO yellow exclamation marks. The sound card
is enabled and the volume is turned up. When I go to sounds and audio
devices in the control panel and do a test, it says that no sound has
been detected, and my speakers are working fine on another system, so I
know that's not the problem.

Anyone got an ideas as to what could be the problem here?

Not appropriate to this newsgroup, but you can get that effect
with a system that needs to have the drivers appropriate to the
sound subsystem installed. Thats usually off the CD that came with
the motherboard, usually available off the web site if you've lost it.
