I have inserted a wav file into my presentation ans it wouldn't play. I
recorded it to a CD and it would then work fine. Why won't it work from the
file on the hard drive?

Does it not work within the presentation - or does the WAV not play in Media
Player as well?

Which version of PowerPoint are you using?

How did you insert it in your presentation.

Did you adjust the WAV's volume properties in PowerPoint (assuming you are
running v. 2002/2003)?

I am running 2003.
The sound plays in windows media player.
I inserted the sound with the insert sound from fileunder the insert
option. When I inserted it from the CD, I used the play CD audio track.
Yes, I checked the volume.
Thanks for you time,

Patenko, thank you for the update.

Did you convert the CD track to a WAV file?

Convert CD Audio to WAV:

Convert it to WAV and place the WAV in the same folder as the presentation.
Then, insert it within the presentation.

Since the WAV would be a CD track to start with, do you want it to span
across slides? Look here:

Thank you!
I had converted it to a wav file. But placing it in the same folder seems to
have been what made it work.
Thank you again for your time.
