I have just added PowerPoint 2000 to my MSOffice programs
on my computer which has Windows 2000. I cannot get the
*.mid sound file to loop. I have followed all the
directions I was able to get from MS Support. Nothing has
helped.
I have Windows Media Player 7.1. The MID file plays to the
end of the music and stops. The slides also stop, and
pressing Enter does not advance the slides immediately.
After a short time, I can press Enter to advance the
slides - without music.

After two days of trying to figure the problem out, you
know I will appreciate any help you can give.

Right click the speaker icon for the sound file you added, select "Custom
Animation", click the "More Options" button and check "Loop Continuously".
Then on the Custom Animation dialog box you can set it to play for as long
as you want. Since the sound will continue to loop it plays until you want
it to stop (based on the number of slides you tell it to play for).
