Sound Volume for different users

Does any one know of a way or a utility to be able to keep or change
the volume level of a user on Win XP?

My son always turns the volume off or realy low, while I like to have
it up to get feedback from programs, clicking etc. So when I switch
to my log-on, I'd like to have the volume where I left it before, not
to where he set it.

Thanks for any advice/help.

Doesn't fast user switching preserve your settings? Control Panel>User
Account Applet>then click "Change the way users log on or off" and check
(click) next to "Use Fast User Switching."

Nope. Fast user switching is enabled, but the volume changes carry
through for every user no matter what their last setting was.

I don't know a way to preserve volume settings for each user but someone
might. You can make it convenient to set by either shortcutting the Sounds
and Audio Devices Applet, or by checking the box to put the volume icon on
the task bar which will place it in the notification area for easy reach.
