SOUND, VOLUME, ECT

I'm not to good with computers, but recently my speakers snapped and i'm not
sure what happened. I believe one of my other family members deleted the
whole system. I plugged in headphones to the back where it said to, but I
gort no sound. When I checked further into the problem it said I had no audio
device, and I had to add hardware, but everytime I try it doesn't work! I'm
starting to get feed up with this, and I don't know what else to do. So will
someone help me?

Try system restore.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
Select a date prior to this problem appeared.
