Hello all,

is there anything that can cause a delay in the
initialization process of the windows sound subsystem ??
I have an image that use a CMI8738 driver and after the
start of the machine, when I try to open the audio
control panel I have a long delay (about 1 minute),
before I can see the control panel. After the first
opening try the consecutives openings occur normally.
Everything in the FBA is OK. Every dependencies are
checked and the worst thing: it was working and suddenly
it stopped working. I thought that could be the QFE
updates that I made, but I tried with an old version of
my SLX (without the updates) and the same thing occur.
Please, I need a help....

Thanks

Fabio

I had exactly the same problem with the same device!

Than I add this components and the dealy had gone:

+ Microsoft Streaming Clock Proxy
+ Microsoft Streaming Quality Manager Proxy
+ Microsoft Streaming Service Proxy
+ Microsoft Streaming Tee/Sink-to-Sink Converter

I don't know which component is exactly the problem...

Best Regards,
Mario

Hi Mario,

unhappily this doesn`t solve my problem. I included the
Microsoft Streaming Tee/Sink-to-Sink Converter that was
the only component that I didn't have.
Checking dependencies, I included together:
+Audio/Video Core,
+DirectShow Core,
+DirectDraw,
+Video For Windows Core,
+MCI Support,
+Primitive:OleCli32.

I ran FBA, but the delay still the same ... Any ideas ??

Did you create your own component for CMI8738 ?? Is it
possible to you send me it ??

Thanks in advance,

Fabio Gianzanti
