Sound stops early during XP startup

The wav file I'm using for "Start Windows" stops early during XP
startup. I realize this issue does not affect the functionality of
Windows XP (Microsoft knowledge base answer 321735), but is there a
way to fix it? Can anyone suggest which drivers may be the culprit,
or how I can determine a culprit driver. Thanks

there is only 18 seconds of sounnd available for the
startup sound.i'm using th eHockey night in Canada theme
and it stops early too
