Hi, i have a sony dcr-hc30 and when i'm transfering my videos to my computer (with usb) with moviemaker, the sound sometimes slow down at some places and doesn't follow the video. Maybe 10 seconds after it gets back to normal. When im watching my video on my camera everything is ok. Plz help me

Justin,

Movie Maker 2 works best with the iLink/firewire connection to your
camcorder, not with the USB connection.

Justin,

Your symptoms are typical of either lost info during the transfer of data
from the camcorder to the computer or of a codec issue.

The model DCR-HC30 camcorder has both USB and iLink (Digital Video)
connections.

The USB connection is typically to transfer still pictures from the
camcorder's memory cad, or short MPEG2 videos you record onto the memory
card. But it's not for transfer using Movie Maker 2. It's for use with the
software that came with the camera.

The iLink (DV) connection is meant for the full transfer of digital video
files from the tape.

What setting are you choosing in Movie Maker 2 during capture? DV-AVI or one
of the WMV choices?
