Sound settings

Every time I start my computer up I have to go to control panel - sound and
audio devices and set my speaker setting to 5.1 surround sound. How can I
get my computer to remember the setting so I don't have to change the setting
every time?

u have to enable 5.1 option in the mixer software which should have come free
with sound card
