I am looking for a sound recorder, the Windows native is easy enough to use
but gees...you only get a few seconds.

With the Windows sound recorder, initially the duration is short but to
extend it all you have to do is to click record again and it lengthens
that one. What I do is make different ones of specified length...one
5minutes, one 3, one 1minute and one 30 seconds, and a 10 second one. I
save them as 1 min, 5 min, etc. Then when I want to record a three
minute recording, I open that one and voila. After recording it I save
it as...give it a name and save it. This method preserves my 3 minute
default file. Works fine for me. I've even used it to record a 25
minute program.
