Yes sir I did... In device manager... under the sound, video and game
controllers... it has Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers,Legacy Video
Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio,
Standard Game Port and Video Codecs.. My sound is Sound Max, a part of the
motherboard.. and my motherboard is.? I went to the Manufacturer of the
Motherboard,

I saved it in my favorites just in case I needed it again.. thanks for
responding.. .wish I knew what was causing this.. thanks Rainy
If as you say that you have onboard/integrated sound/video chipset, then
you need
to get the appropriate sound/video chipset drivers from the motherboard
manufacturer.
Although many times the drivers from the distributor of the
software/firmware
may/will work, it's always advisable to get the firmware/drivers from the
motherboard
manufacturer because manufacturers alter the firmware/drivers to their specs
for the
chipsets.
