Hello,
maybe someone can tell me the answer.
I have a powerpoint presentation with several files...I inserted a sound file that I have stored in the same folder ...I told it should play continously, so if I click from one slide to the next it is working just fine...my problem is, how I can tell the program that on the last slide the sound should fade out....right now for example I have 10 slides and tell it should stop after slide 10....
is there a good solution to tell not to stop all of a sudden if the presentation is over, but to fade out during slide 10 and not to start again??
I appreciate every help on this. I use powerpoint version 2002
thanks in advance
evi

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the level of audio playback control that you are
looking for for inserted sounds.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions as to how
PowerPoint improve it's options for controlling the playback of audio (such
as fade in/out), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS,
please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

thanks for your reply!
It is good to know that there is no possibility right now, so I dont need to search by try and errors. I will turn the button on the loudspeaker then to fade out

I have faced the same issue in several presentations and end up using Gold wave software to fade audio files several seconds before the end of the last slide where it is set to stop. Extra work and subject to fluctuations in hardware performance when it comes to playing the slides but it is the only solution I have found for a professional presentation with sound.
