Sound quality changed?

Hiya
Since yesterday when I play music tracks from my media player library the
voices are squeaky like they've swallowed helium or something!!!
How stange?
Also when I switch on the windows music seems to be in a higher key, can
anyone advise what to do?

Thanks for the advise.
I did sort the other problem with usb, still not 100% sure what it was I did
to rectify it as I was doing things that were baffling me! So the usb has
worked in so far that I managed to download some music on my mp3, I haven't
tried my camera yet - scared!
Re the latest query I manged to sort it myself after searching on control
panel/realtech HD sound effect, and clicked on a few buttons on there!
