Sound problems

Hi
I have a Windows XP Home edition running on an intel board D845GBV. Some time ago I had to reinstall the Windows. Until then my speakers functioned well, but since then I hear no sounds at all! I believe it is a driver problem, but I don't know how to solve it
Please Advise
