Sound Problem

I created a show in ppt 2002 and inserted a portion of a track from a CD on one slide. I have the sound play while pictures are flying up on the screen but sometimes--not always--it stops in the middle and goes back to the screen where you create slides?? Not sure why it does this. I have tried making sure other things aren't running at the same time and I am using the same computer I created the show on. Could I have too much going on in one slide for the show??
 
try this -
check in custom animations - maybe one of
your "activities" after the sound has started has the
[stop previous sound] option selected??
thus as the slide progresses it switches off the sound
and ends the show after the final picture has flown up??

I checked in custom animations and the first thing I have is the sound starting on mouse click, then the first pic also on mouse click but the rest of the pics come in after previous. Now sometimes it works fine and other times it doesn't. Any other ideas?
