Hey Gang. You helped me with this problem in the past and I didn't save the
emails like I should have. My sound is working fine on the computer.
Operating - windows xp and have office professional xp (powerpoint xp). I
had installed a couple of new programs and all of a sudden the sound isn't
playing again in my presentations.

I remember something about checking not media player but another player to
see if that works. I don't remember which one that was. Then again if that
is the issue (I am sure it is) how do I fix it?

Please Help Again ;-)

Read through the information at
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm and maybe
it'll jiggle your memory about how you solved it last time. On the other
hand, it might be a different problem this time. You say that you've
installed other software. It's very possible that your MCI settings have
been corrupted by the other software installs, so read through to the end of
section 3 and verify (very carefully and thoroughly) that your MCI settings
match the lists provided.

Thanks Sonia. It did jog the memory... however it was a different issue.
when I first placed a sound file in the presentation it worked fine. Then
when I went to change something it quit working. Couldn't figure out what
the problem was so I just reverted my hard drive. Lost alot of work but at
least it is working properly again... Thanks... I have saved the URL this
time also
