Sound popping

This is the 3rd picture slide project I have done with this software.
I have included .mp3 sound files in all and I get a popping noise in the
final product.
I don't hear it until I have burned the final project to DVD or SVCD. I use
the slowest burn setting of 4x. The sound comes out but with a popping noise
along with it.
I save the project at the highest setting of 2.1 meg.
I don't have any problems with the images.
I am using a high end CPU with 2 gig of memory.

==================================
There's a possible chance that the problem
is caused by the .mp3 files. Try converting
them to .wma or .wav and recreate the project.

One way to convert .mp3 to .wma is to import
it into Movie Maker / drag it to the Audio / Music
track...be sure it is all the way to the left...go to...
File / Save Movie File / Next / Next / Next...

I haven't tried the converter at the following link
but it may be worth a look.

me, too!! i wish i had the answer, because i'm still searching for it! i'm
very frustrated, because i've put months and months on my project and the
sound is terrible....

Thanks for letting me know that others are having this problem. I hope
someone has an answer. What software are you using to burn the CD/DVD? I am
using Nero. I was beginning to suspect the transistions but I have not went
back to remove them to find out yet.
