Sound not working Windows XP

Just Me

My sound used to work. Doesn't work at all now for my
callwave program or anything at all on the pc. I tried
looking for new updates, I checked the volume, it's still
not working.

Please help.
 
did you install software after the time it was working?
have you try to recover to last working driver state of
your sound card?

In device manger does your sounds card is working properly
or any error? check also in evnet loger

OK... have you just installed Xp? If so you probably need

to install your video/audio driver which in most cases is
on a disk and should have came with your computer. 2.Do
your speakers work? They could be fried. 3.Is everything
inside your computer plugged in and in proportion? AND
4.Open your volume control and make sure that nothing is
muted...a friend of mine had the same thing happen because
he had clicked the MUTE ALL button........Hope i helped
