Sound Lag when converting to DV PAL

Ok -- captured a movie in from my Sony Mini DV and made a set of movies which
all look and sound great in Movie Maker format. The problem begins when I try
and export it out as DV PAL -- it exports fine but the sound no longer
matches the video. Theres a huge lag in certain spots. I can't understand why
this is happening. If anyone has any solutions let me know -- it will be much
appreciated.
