A7nx8 DeLuxe is my mother board which I got a few months ago.
I am unable to get any sound whatsoever from the OB sound card. I was forced
to install an old Soundblaster card.
I havent messed with the jumpers on the board. They are as in the
manual-default.
I tried with the nvida utility. I checked and unchecked every single option
but to no avail.
I think many users of this particular board have problems with their
soundcard.Any idea how to resolve this.
You (whoever can email me on my e-mail: (e-mail address removed)
TIA

Check the FPAudio Jumpers are set up correctly, otherwise you may get no
sound output.

Does the nForce Control Panel appear to be playing music? (look at the
equaliser bars)

Do you have the latest nForce Drivers installed?

What OS do you have?

Do you even have a volume control icon?

What way should they be set?

Yes. The equaliser bars "work".
Do you have the latest nForce Drivers installed?

Absolutely. I even formated my disc in the hope that I would resolve this
issue
What OS do you have?

Win Xp Pro (SP1) and all othe hot fixes and patches included
Do you even have a volume control icon?

I do have the volume control icon.

On, as far as I recall... I think it basically just connects the audio, with
the jumpers off, you have it dosconnected.

If it isn't in the manual, you can see the standard for FPAUDIO
on page20 of this document:

http://www.formfactors.org/developer\specs\fpio_design_guideline.pdf

X X The jumpers are the (<--->) shown here on pins 5-6
X X and 9-10 of the 2x5 FPAUDIO header. One of the pins
X<--->X comes from the audio chip on the motherboard, and the
X other pin in a pair, is the return wire that goes to
X<--->X the Lime colored audio connector on the back of the
computer. The jumpers are needed to get the signal
to the back of the computer.
