Sound is good with an P4P800 dlx ?

Hello,
Is the sound quality rather good with le mobo P4P800 dlx ? Better with than
an audio card like the SB live! for example ?....

Been running with on-board sound on my P4P800 Deluxe for about 3 weeks with
no complaints. Hear no perceivable difference between it and my previous
SBLive 5.1 setup on my old machine. Works for me anyway....

It's not better or worse, except all 3D stuff is done in software. It has
one rather serious bug which should and could be easily fixed by a software
update, that is that when volume exceeds maximum you get a popping sound
rather than it just being clipped, which is quite annoying. But setting the
volume lower in the mixer and higher on your speakers solves this most of
the time.
 
I could never get the sound to work properly so I got an sblive. Happy
I did, at least I know all the game will work properly.
