How can I use mp3 files in a presentation? I am using Office 97. Also the "Action Settings" under slide show is grayed out so I can't access it

Have you tried Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File?

Mike,

From memory....mp3s do not work in ppt 97 (only ppt 2000 onwards)

So try converting them to .wav files instead.

The action settings command should work if you click on an object first
