Sound in One Speaker

I have a desktop running Windows XP Home. I recently bought some Durabrand
Speakers from Wal-mart, nothing fancy, real simple speakers. I hooked them
up and only one speaker works. I've done all I can to figure out how to make
it work but I can't get the other one to work. The one that does work is the
one that is plugged into the back of the computer. The one that doesn't work
is plugged into the main speaker.

Please email me at (e-mail address removed) if you can help me.
'thanks.

Do a last check re connections, and ensure that 'balance' is set to the
middle position.. if both fail, return the product to Wal-Mart..

And remember there may be a balance control on the speaker and a
software balance control or even several on the computer.

Mike,
I take it you meant for this message to go somewhere else :-)

Hahahahaha.. I was in a completely different newsgroup at the time.. was
reference a line in a badly written book.. I could not, for the life of me
understand why the post never showed.. maybe if there is a god, it can be
taken out of here, and in the meantime, I will copy it out now and send it
to where it should have gone..

My second post has nothing that will help you fix your speakers, but may be
useful to one very bad author, or the critic thereof..
