Help! The sound icon is missing from my taskbar.. The control panel doesn't
recognize any changes I want to make on sound. All options are faded and
won't allow a click. This happened after I made installed Quick Time. I
don't have an XP disk available right now.

If you cannot access the Control Panel, maybe you can try to do a Restore.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
You can go back up to 90 days. If you are successful you may want to
uninstall Quick Time to avoid the problem you encountered, or XP deleted it
for you.
