Hey there movie makers,

I am just discovering how fun it is to edit my DV movies
wit WMM. However I have encoutered a problem which I
cannot solve. When I use music in my movie I get these
uncontrollable glitches in the sound, realy annoying.
Also it seems that some transitions affect the sound as
well, making it stutter for a brief time. All these sound
errors remain when I place the whole movie back on a DV
tape.

Please help :(

I've got similar problems.
I just purchased a new computer with Windows XP pro and
downloaded the Movie Maker2. I have a Canon s400 which
produces videos with .avi suffix. I've imported the
videos into movie maker and they play fine. But, when I
put the video into the time line (drag or thru the edit)
a very loud static-type sound results ( so loud I'm
afraid it might damage the speakers). When I add an
audio clip to the timeline, the sound switches back and
forth (randomly and differently each time I play it)
between the static and the sound clip.
I've tried to re-download the Movie Maker with the same
results. Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help.
