Sound from ATI Always on mute!

Please how can I stop ATI from starting TV with the sound on mute?
I always have to go into Sound Volume setup to uncheck mute for Line
In. I have ATI AIW 9700 Pro and MMC 9.0

Have you selected Line in as the audio source?

I have a TV Wonder Pro and had the same problem with a Creative Audigy (and
now the Audigy2 ZS as well). I decided to enable the onboard sound and use
the line-in from it. All is working perfectly now. The onboard sound
handles the tv sounds and the Audigy does everything else.
 
Yes, I did select Line/Aux as the audio source, but I still get the
sound every time I restart TV.

Try disabling the "best quality video" (or whatever it's called) setting. (I
did an A/B comparison between that enabled and disabled a while ago - pre
MMC 9.0 - and could see no quality difference... except that enabling it
caused it to start up with audio muted.)
