SOUND during some page loads - how to turn off?

Hi

The pages of some sites make a loud 'BWIP!!' noise when they load. Can this
sound be blocked?

This has to be a question asked many times -- where can I find the FAQ for
this newsgroup?

If it only happens on some web sites then I suspect they are using
popups and you have a popup blocker that makes this noise when it blocks
the popup.
