Sound device

When I look in system info under sound device, there is
no information. What do I need to do to change this and
get sound from my PC?
Please excuse my ignorance and help.

Tried reloading the drivers that may have come on CD with the soundcard or
PC? Or they may be available at the manufacturer's WEBsite - for download.
