According to my programmes, I do not have a sound device installed on my pc.
Can I down load one to install or do I need to buy one?

You probably just need to reinstall drivers for your sound card.

I'm assuming this is a recent problem, and your sound was working before?

Do you have a place on the back of your PC to plug in your speakers?
If you do, then you have a soundcard and the drivers are probably
not installed. You can check the disks that came with your PC when
you purchased it, or go to the manufacturers website to download
them for they are free.

I am having the same problem. I use Microsoft Windows Home Edition XP and I downloaded it from their website before, but I can't seem to be able to find it again. Do you think you can help me out with this? I don' thave the disk that came with the computer anymore, so this seems to be my only option. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
