sound clip hard drive location

Does anyone know where PowerPoint stores the narration sound clips (and other clips in the gallery) on the hard drive? Where is the folder location

If you right-click any of the clips in the clip gallery, you can choose
Properties. The path to the file will be listed there.

Narration that you record yourself? Unless you specifically ask for it to be linked, it's
embedded in the PPT file, not stored on disk.

If you elect to link when you start recording, there's a Browse button - click that to
choose where you want the narrations stored. Best bet is always in the same folder as the
presentation file itself.

If you want to recover the sounds, save the presentation to HTML; PPT will export the
sounds to individual files for you.
